The privacy promise.
Local-first isn't a feature we bolted on — it's how DataRig is built. This page states exactly what that means, within its tested scope.
Your data stays on your machine
Datasets, records, prompts, schemas, SQL, file paths, logs, artifacts, credentials, and model context are never sent to ExaScale when you use DataRig in its default local configuration. Everything runs through localhost services.
Local AI by default
Ollama runs on your own hardware and never transmits prompts or context to us. Optional hosted providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and others) or the ChatGPT bridge are explicit choices you configure — governed by those providers’ terms, not by our zero-retention guarantee.
Telemetry off by default
Remote telemetry is disabled out of the box. If opt-in analytics are ever introduced, they will require informed consent, exclude customer content and secrets, publish their event schema, and remain fully optional.
Diagnostics stay local unless you share
Diagnostic exports are previewable before sharing, redact secrets and sensitive paths by default, and disclose exactly what is included.
Updates reveal nothing about your work
Update checks do not transmit customer content, stable device fingerprints, or workspace metadata.
Uninstall is honest
Removing DataRig clearly offers to retain or delete your local tables, metadata, logs, and history — and identifies every retained path. Zero retention by ExaScale never silently deletes your work.
